RE: Local and Specialty Bar Association Best Projects Awards and Profiles

We enclose for your review and action, the application form for the 52nd annual Local and Specialty Bar Association Best Projects Awards competition. We look forward to your entries in either or both of the categories – Best Public Service and Best Services to the Bar. In addition to recognizing certain local and specialty bars for their programs, the competition serves as an idea exchange. A number of very worthwhile projects have been highlighted and shared with other bars, and we look forward to your submission(s). Enclosed please find the Best Projects winners 2006-2010.

Your application form must be received at Bar Headquarters no later than Friday, September 2, 2011 to be considered. The project(s) must have been implemented between October 2010 and August 2010.

Also, during past conferences, Bar Presidents were asked to give a two minute overview/profile of his or her association. The profiles were informative and very well received by other bar leaders. In response to requests to have this valuable information available in written form, we have developed an Association Profile. Each President and President-Elect will receive a copy to use as a reference. The enclosed Association Profile should be completed and returned to Bar Headquarters along with your Best Projects Application. Please type all information, as your original will be used to make copies for all attendees.

Lastly, please note that the Conference of Bar Presidents will be held Thursday (evening) October 22nd through Saturday (morning) October 24th, at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. You will receive more detailed information under separate cover.
